Hyde Park Barn & Grill Fries

Ingredients

1 large Russet potato
Cold water
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups flour
2 to 3 Tbsp. black pepper
Salt to taste
Canola oil to fill frying pan

Directions

1. Peel and slice potatoes into large “steak fries” and set aside in bowl of cold water.
2. Combine buttermilk, flour, pepper and salt in bowl.
3. Set frying temperature of oil to 350 º F.
4. Dip each potato slice in buttermilk mixture and immediately fry for at least 2 to 3 minutes.
5. Drain on paper towel.
