Ingredients

3/4 lb. pork steak -- 1" cubes
3/4 lb. round steak – 1” cubes
1 Tbsp. olive oil
6 ounces Fideo (Vermicelli)
2 Tbsp. olive oil
Hot water (or use stock)
3 medium tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup onion, diced
1/4 cup green pepper diced
2 Tbsp. picante sauce
1 whole bay leaf
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. oregano
Salt, pepper

Directions

In heavy skillet brown pork in 1 Tbsp. hot olive oil. Remove from skillet and set aside. In same skillet brown beef and cook until liquid evaporates. Remove and set aside. Brown Fideo lightly in skillet with 2-Tbsp.s hot olive oil. Add 1/2 cup of hot water, tomatoes, onions, and green pepper. Add enough water to cover the beef and pork. Add picante sauce, bay leaf, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes
