Ingredients
2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 cup semolina flour
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 package rapid rise yeast
1/2 cup of warm water (105 to 115 ºF)
Olive oil
Olive oil to coat surface of pizza
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. rosemary
1/2 cup grated mozzarella
Other topping suggestions:
- black olives (quartered)
- artichoke hearts (quartered)
- 2 tomatoes (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup white chicken chunks
Directions
In a large bowl, pour in flour, semolina, sugar and salt. Do not mix. Add yeast. Then, add 1/2 cup of warm water. Let it mix with yeast, sugar and salt. Let it sit for a few minutes.
Then use a fork to start to mix ingredients together. Keep adding warm water until dough is just firm enough to knead without needing to add more flour (approximately 1/2 cup of water). Dough should be elastic.
Let the dough sit for about 30 to 45 minutes covered.
Coat dough lightly with olive oil. Roll out to desired thickness. Place on baking sheet. Add toppings.
Bake on middle rack of oven at 400 ºF for 16 to 20 minutes.
